My Mum is going on a cruise round the Baltic. She will be on organised excursions, but was wondering about money for souvenirs, coffee etc. Will most places take Euros or Dollars? I think the ship will carry a small amount of currency, but I bet the exchange rate is mega! She will visit Denmark,Sweden, Finland,Russia, Estonia and Norway.

Bear in mind that places that do take euros or dollars will probably give a worse exchange rate than you'll get on ship.

I did a similar trip last yr and took a wadge of appropriate currency for each country.

The Russians love US Dollars, if I were to return to Russia, I wouldn't bother taking Roubles.

Suggest she goes to www.cruisecritic.com and then click on Boards [at the top] and then click on the link to what ever cruise line she is going with - and I'm sure the question would have been asked.b
