you know pleasure cruises, where a little boat takes you around the bay and back? Well is there an equivalent with planes?

My daughter is desperate to fly, but we're not going to be able to afford to go abroad for a long time. I wondered if you can just have a ride on a plane. That would do!

In March I flew to Barcelona for 14.99 outwards and 0.99 (yes 99p) return with Ryanair. I'd have a look at all the cheap airlines and have a day out somewhere (I know someone who went to Barcelona for one days shopping!), bear in mind though that you would need passports.
Try your local flying club and see if they have a 'Learn to Fly' introductory deal. (Many do). Give them a call and explain about your daughter - I'm sure they'd oblige.
Try clicking on this link for a tour of Scotland in about an hour. Sounds absolutely wonderful.

Hi crisgal - def. day the Ryan Air woud be the cheapest option - they even have free flights (stupid isn't it?) click link for destinations: http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/

A few companies will do you a view round the local area wherever you are in the UK but it can be pricey - and you wouldn't get to go shopping in Rome for the day either...
