Bear in mind it's a muslim country, so there are very few bars etc (though, depending on exactly where you're going in Tunisia, this is changing) and you will be buying your drinks in restaurants and hotel bars. In most places there's not a lot to do at night outside the hotels and organised tourist venues like the casinos & cabarets. The cost of eating out used to be very low (it's 2 or 3 years since I last went), and if you shop around you can find souvenirs at reasonable prices; look for Government-regulated shops for the safest buying. Leather goods are extremely cheap.
