anyone got any ideas of places to take them in or around that area, just in case the weather is not good ?
thanks

We went, got off train and got to bus stop only to find no buses that day, so ran back to the train, returned to Porthmadog, picked up our car and then drove to the mines. The mines were excellent so a trip there is well recommended (it was a rainy day but you're underground so it doesn't matter). Llanberis has a good hydro electric visitor centre, found in centre of town.
Lovely part of the world, do enjoy.
