Do I need a passport to go to the channel islands?

Hi,
I am English and have realised that my passport has run out. Do I need one to go to Jersey? I have looked at the passport offce website but can't find anything. Thanks Sandra

You'll be OK for Jersy. UK airlines will accept an expired passport as ID for domestic flights for up to two years from the expiry date. That, and other acceptable forms of ID are listed here
