Suggestions for a romantic snowy 4 day break between christmas and including new year. Have the European Christmas markets closed by this time? I'd like somewhere romantic and cultural but definitely snowy!!!
Suggestions please!!

Most if not all the markets close on Christmas Eve unfortunately.
Places like Prague, and Budapest can be hit and miss for snow at that time of year, the places Ive had the most success with in terms of what you describe have been locations like Tallinn (Estonia), and Krakow (Poland), both have different advantages, but overall Id say Krakow, and in particular a hotel like The Wentzl (fantastic rooms, great atmosphere, charm, and a superb location).

If your looking at Tallinn, the stand out has got to be The Three Sisters.

Salzburg is beautiful, plenty of culture and history, lots of shops, very romantic in the old town and snowy too.

I should have mentioned, I have already been to Krakow, warsaw, prague, berlin, salzberg, vienna, bruges. i was thinking of places in northern europe (norway etc) or munich - but only if the markets continue to new year. I've never been to bavaria or bohemia so would be interested in this too. thanks for all your suggestions so far, i'll have a look into Tallin and Budapest.
