does anyone know which junction is best to get off the m6 for stoke on trent train station? im getting on m6 at junction 10,cant seem to find it on the aa route finder without a postcode and got to pick my friend up from there tomorrow so we can go onto alton towers.

Try http://www.streetmap.co.uk/ Most stations have an individual entry and you can zoom the map in/out to suit your needs.
Come off at Junction 15 and follow the signs for the A50 which will take you straight into the city - the station is signed when you reach the appropriate roundabout.

its not the A50, its the A500 that you need
Correct - typing error - apologies for the confusion!
allow yourself plenty of time to get there. The A500 - known locally as the "D" Road - is infested with roadworks and traffic is often appalling.
For up to date local traffic news tune to 102.6FM (Signal One).

thanks i found it no problem the hardest thing was finding somewhere to park while her train got in i know what you mean about the d road mushrooom glad i left early!
