The RAC website has an excellent route planner

Just type in Enfield and Alton, Staffordshire as your start and end points and it will provide a route map and driving directions

How you want to travel? If by road either buy a road map or try www.theAA.com who have an excellent route planner with printable maps and directions.
Sorry Rekstout. Not trying to start an AA / RAC battle. Simultaneous postings methinks.
Get on the M25, head towards Heathrow. Off at J21 on to M1 Northbound. Off at J24 onto A50 to Uttoxeter. At the second Uttoxeter roundabout(by McDonalds), turn right on to the B5030 toward Rocester and follow the brown Alton Towers signs. Depending on traffic and how you drive, should take about 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
