Hello!
I am flying to Italy on saturday. I need to take my asthma inhaler with me but i don't need it during the flight. Because of the new safety regulations i'm not sure i could take it in my hand luggage. Will it be o.k in the hold? I always thought pressurized gas/aerosols exploded in the hold... I am flying with thomsonfly. any suggestions?

yes it will be allowed, but ask at check-in and they will allow you to pack it in your suitcase if not .

nah aerosols dont explode in the hold. Just imagine if they did there would be several explosions on every flight because so many people pack them. So nah you can carry aerosols in the hold. I have ;)

After the 9/11 attacks i flew to Italy. the same guidlines were in place and yet medicines that may be needed in flight were allowed.
Get a letter from your GP if necessary, stating that you may need the drugs on the aircraft.

I put my inhaler in the hold only last week - it's fine
