these are quite different places... what are you looking for? Egypt is closest and will be cheapest. (Assuming you're in Europe.)
Went to Egypt in 1999. Spent 3 days in Cairo visiting the museum, pyramids and sites. Flew to Luxor and went on a beautiful boat (silver service meals, pool on top deck and balconies to each room so you could take in the sites as you meandered down the Nile). Trips to other sites like the Aswan Dam, Karnak and the Valley of the Kings were accompanied by a guide that stayed on the boat with you. We were also lucky with the other people in our group; they included people from Canada & S America and a freelance travel journalist. Fantastic time. Went with a company called Bales.

Money is not really an issue, up to a point of course!!
I fancy the inca trails/flight of the condor in peru. The g/f fancies egypt. but we would both like belize, but seems inaccessable?
I think they're restricting access to the Inca trails because of overcrowding. Belize doesn't (I think) have direct flights from the UK but you can probably get there via Miami; you may have to do the same to get to Lima. Egypt is easily accessible but has occasional terrorist attacks. Egypt and Peru have great ruins. Belize and Egypt have diving. Bales are excellent, though not cheap; I went to Peru with them.

But it does depend exactly what you want to do - see old cities? Dive? Archaology? Lie on a beach?
hi. i went down the nile in 2004. Booked through cosmos for an 8 day trip down the nile starting at luxor. You get to visit all the sites plus its all inclusive and you get to see loads. think we paid 800 ish for two of us which was a bargin. you also get guides to show you around everything and are pretty safe as you go about in same groups so you hear more of what the guide has to say. You are only out in the mornings or afternoons as it takes quite a bit out of you and then you are back on the boat to enjoy the bar and pool while you sail of down the river again. all the trips are included in the price except for air ballooning over the dessert and the trip to visit Abu Simel whuch was about 100 each but well worth it as you have to fly to it.
Hope this is of some help...i believe quite a few places offer these kind of trips.
