Last year I drove the west coast of US between San Francisco and LA. Next year I'm thinking about New york to Orlando. I have three weeks available. Do you think this journey is a little too much? I would love to hear from anyone who has made this trip.

I was in Florida, a long time ago, and I remember meeting someone who said that she regualrly drove from Florida to New York, and that it took about 16 hours. Having not actually done the drive myself, I can't vouch for it taking 16 hours.

But that doesn't seem excessive, if it is spread over 3 weeks.
you can do it in a day or two - 3 weeks may be too much! But you can stop off along the way in places like Washington, Charleston and so forth, to say nothing of Disney World.
The distance is around 1080 miles (just less then triple the distance of SF-LA).
This is an old question now, but if you're still planning more trips across the U.S., you can get the distance from New York to Orlando or type in other cities for a different trip.
