Southampton departures are OK, but you do get rather a lot of wrinklies/afraid to fly bores and its several days before you get anywhere interesting. Try better cruise lines (Celebrity/Holland America). Celebrity are the same company as Royal Caribbean but are the better class operation) Their websites allow you to book direct at prices lower than through agents. I got Easyjet flights to Rome back in June, joined an 11 night Celebrity Cruise, (booked direct), round the Med. and it all cost 1400 for two.

hi, been on P & O - Oceana to the Caribbean and recently Celebrity - Millenium to the Med, both excellent but different. P & O more relaxed, but excellent service, food was wonderful, drinks on a par with england, and was only british people, Celebrity was a very upmarket ship, absolutely beautiful with all the staff at your beck and call. food is out of this world, but quite rich for some peoples taste, drinks very expensive ( we drank all night in turkey for the same price as a round on the ship), trips very expensive, make your own arrangements, it's cheaper and more fun to travel on local trains etc.
