I lived in Cyprus for a year so have visited Protaras. I went in May so it was quite quiet. They is a small beach with good diving. Plenty hotel/apartments and restaurants.
Agia Napa is only a short drive so if you wanted a more lively nightlife you could visit. Agia Napa has some beautiful architecture if you visit in the day while the clubbers are sleeping.
If you enjoy walking there is a lovely costal walk which can take up to a day depending on which route you take.
There is also the option of crossing the border into the North and visiting the Turkish side (something I deeply regret not doing), look for gold and opals for the best bargains.
Where ever you go, have fun.
Hi
Visited Cala Blanca several times, lovely little place, very picturesque, quite quiet and laid back and suitable for families or couples. We loved it!
