Does anyone know anything about Costa Rica? My son MAY be going to work there and to be quite honest, I am a bit worried. What about drugs or crime? I would never to go Central America on holiday. I just need educating on the area really, I have looked on the internet, but I just found out about the history and geography of the place.

I would also recommend the Lonely Planet Country Guide for Costa Rica - which would also make a great present for your son (once you've read the relevant sections on dangers and annoyance and hopefully put your own worries to bed!)
