Child on lap (flying) cost?
Do airlines charge for babies? My brother will be travelling by British Airways to Goa in August with his 8month old baby
They are charging 139pounds even though the baby will be on the lap.

How is your brother flying to Goa ? BA dont do a direct flight and charters only go in the season, so he will have to change planes in Mumbai [ big hassle believe me] go through customs [ bigger hassle] and then change to the domestic aiprport & take another plane that has an agreement with BA for the flight to Goa and this is probably why there is a charge.
I hope he knows what he is doing [ pls dont think I am being cheeky I am not] but in August most of the tourist areas are closed, only Panjim [capital] is open and quite dull compared with Calangut and Candolim in the tourist season.
Is he going for a wedding or a family thing ?

forgot to say, dont forget to order the baby's skycot well in advance otherwise you will have to hold the baby all the way, they dont keep them on board unless requested well beforehand and if turbulence occurs you have to take them out of the cot for safety reasons.
Good luck for the journey, its not easy travelling with small kids.
