Things to do in LA?

This may sound like a stupid question but im going to LA in July and im wondering what are the main things to do apart from watching David Beckham playing(im already arranging that lol)....Of course there is Hollywood and Disneyland....but im looking for places which arent famous but will amaze me when i see it/them!!! Im staying for 4 weeks!

Venice Beach is cool. Santa Monica is also worth a visit.

Unlike many of the other tourist cities, LA does not (IMHO) have anything akin to a decent down-town (city centre). The tourist spots are spread over miles and miles. This isn't a problem if you know it in advance, and anyway everything revolves around the car in US. Its just more that way in LA than in any other US city I know. All of the above places are good tourist places to visit.

Agree with Pam, Venice and Santa Monica are worth a visit, try to have a walk around the Venice canals too. Don't forget Vegas is only a 4 hour drive as well!

Getty Museum is amazing, Rodeo Drive is good for people watching. The Warner Brothers Studio tour is also very good.
