Can't help much, but a couple of thoughts. If you're paying money for the shoot, why not visit one of the areas of London where there are many B&Bs - such as the streets opposite Kings Cross station or Bloomsbury - knock on some doors, and see if you can find something suitable. (Business is probably slack at this time of year, so your enquiries may not be too resented.) However, perhaps you should find an alternative word for "bad"; how about "typical", if that's what you mean. (Remember, the very coolest, current fashion trend will provoke howls of derision in 25 years time.)
I'm with mr hughes on this one. as soon as i saw the question i thought of a b and b we stayed in in Blackpool. Can;t remember the name but it was opposite the entrance to the Pleasure Beach next to a pub called the star! I've never seen anything so bad - the bar was like a time warp. even the lampshades were older than me, and the colours were just nasty!
