Disregarding the air fare, and despite the terrible terrorist bomb blast the other year, Bali is still probably one of the safest, cheapest and pleasantest holiday destinations in the world - especially the interior. away from the tacky coastal resorts.

It costs very little to fly to Jersey if you can get to Southampton easily, and it must be pretty safe as well. Accomodation may be harder to get at a bargain price, but it's probably worth it though I haven't been there myself.
