I'm thinking of going away for 48 hours during the Easter holidays with my wife and baby son (2 weeks old yesterday!) This will be our first trip away with him and therefore don't want too difficult travel as we don't have a car. We live in Greenwich and can get to London Bridge or Waterloo easily on the train... where to go from there? We've been to Brighton recently so does anyone have any top tips for anywhere else? Thanks in advance.

dont want to appear rude, but do you think your wife is up to it after all its only 2 weeks since the birth ? especially if you dont have a car what with bottles [if applicable] and nappies and a carry cot etc etc.
Maybe a lot of tlc at home with her feet up and no cooking or cleaning or getting up in the night for 2 days, would be far better deal and go away at Whitsun when you have established a routine for baby etc.
But if you do go, I hope you have a nice time.
