Hand luggage

We are flying from Manchester to Crete soon, taking our 4 month old baby.

We were concerned about how we can feed the infant on the flight, in view of the regulations concerning carrying liquids in hand luggage. The airport has assured us that after security checks, we can buy cartons of baby milk in the airport chemist. Problem solved!

Our concern now is the return flight; does anyone know whether the Greek authorities will take a strict view of the regulations (which are EU-wide) and if so, how can we get milk on board for a 4hr+ flight?

Has anyone had any experiences they can share?

According to the BA site, you can still take baby milk/food, but the adult must taste it at security...so put in a nip of gin!!

I have recently flown with our baby and we were allowed to take liquids through including milk, water and squash. We were not even asked to taste it. Exactly the same on the way back. We just showed them at security and they were fine.
