A big group of me and my friends are planning to go to spain this summer. Quick query - we are all 17, what is the drinking age out there for clubs,bars etc? Many Thanks

i think its 16. However if ur planning to go for a package deal ie. flight plus hotel, u may have trouble as when we went as a group, anyone under 17 needed to be travelling with someone who was over 18! although i dont know if it applies to ryanair, easy jet etc. hope this helps!

In most parts of Spain, the minimum age for drinking wine and beer is 16. For spirits (and other drinks such as shooters) it's 18.

As JammieDodger indicates, no travel company will accept a package booking from someone under 18. You'll have to arrange your flights and hotels independently.

hey i went to malia in greece last year when me and my friends were all 17. to book we needed a adult with us and a 'note' from our parents saying we were allowed to go sorta thing.

dont worry about the drinkin age ID is practically unheard of and most people literally drag you into bars rather than not let you in :)

also to add we booked at a travel agent though if i can remember correctly its only certain flight companies you will have to go in check
