Dont worry as I said we have a curse.
We had to leave redcrx in England on one holiday, we had car broken into on another, my parents had a big car crash on their last one and my luggage got left in England on my first holiday with mates and we didnt have a hotel booking when we got there. :-) So where are you off to? :-)

definitely pack towels, hotel ones usually are tiny! things I usually forget are stuff like a hairbrush! last year took way too much stuff so wrote a list of all the clothes I actually needed to refer to this year when, if i hadn't, would undoubtedly over pack again! It's something like -
1 day dress
1 eveningy dress
2 pairs of shorts
2 short skirts
1 long skirt that can be day/evening (worn on the plane)
3 day tops
1 evening top
then stuff like bikinis, last year I took about 7 tops and had to make a point of wearing them cos I'd taken them! ooh! also, 1 pair of day shoes and one pair of evening will see you through fine! sorry if im preaching to the converted btw!

if it is a hotel you are going to then your towels will get changed for you. Would take a beach towel though. I too always feel if I have the important things - passport, tickets and money then anything else I could effectively manage without if forgotten. remember no liquids in your hand luggage unless under 100ml per item and placed in a clear freezer type bag. this includes lipstick and mascara. If taking any electrical equip you may need travel adaptor depending on where you are going. A few daytime outfits and a few night time and you are sorted. We all take too much I am sure - just means more washing on your return though.
Don't take full size toiletries - I always take either small sizes, or half full ones so that they can all be chucked before coming home again. Have a toothbrush in your hand luggage too. Chew gum or toffee or something for take-off and landing, so your ears don't pop, and lastly take something to keep yourself busy on the plane. ipod, crossword, good book, loads of sweets??
Hope you have a fantastic holiday/honeymoon xx
