New England trip - advice please!
3 Answers
My partner and I are flying into Boston on 6th Sept and staying for a 2 week fly drive. We plan to stay in Boston until 9th Sept then pick up a car. However, after that we really don't know where to go! Can anyone out there give me some idea of specific places to stay in Cape Cod and Maine please? We want to do as much as possible and obviously don't want to miss anywhere really special. We're not sporty so aren't interested in anything like baseball games or water sports, but I want to visit some outlet malls and we both hope to find some pretty places to walk around (got to walk off all those huge American meals!). Thanks in advance for your help.

You wont be disappointed. And anywhere on Cape Cod is just gorgeous - if you fancy seeing how the "other half" lives, you can even take a boat trip along the coast of the Cape past the Kennedy Compound etc. Also if it appeals to you, try Salem - and see and hear all about the witch trials of 1792 - fascinating. Then of course there's whale watching of Provincetown, the northern tip of the coast. Wish I were going with you! - Enjoy!
When in Boston, try a burger at Bartley's in Harvard. Best burger ever! http://www.mrbartley.com/
If driving north from Boston, try staying at the Covered Bridge House in Glen near North Conway New Hampshire. Loads of outlet malls, and fantastic scenery around. Try a drive up Mount Washington. It's great especially if the fall foliage colors have arrived.
