thanks apricot, I wanted to ask that as well but thought everybody else already knew and I didn't want to look daft!
The Answerbook is a Yahoo! group where you can hook up with fellow 'Answerbankers' and - er - get to know them better.
It just occurred to me that I didn't give the address - it's here: http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/Answerbook/
Hey kags - don't ever feel you can't ask for fear of looking stupid - we get all sorts here, and we are patient enough to deal with everyone fairly and sqaurely. He or she who doesn't ask will never know, and the AB will go down in flames, so ask away!
Nice to get a little plug for me group on here! It was something that was started a while ago to provide regular users of this site, who felt they had got to know each other well enough to want to chat some more, somewhere to do exactly that seeing as this site lacks the facilities for online chats and tries to discourage more chat based threads in keeping with the ethos of the site.

I would hope in the fullness of time the editor might even see his way clear to promoting our site http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/Answerbook/ as an adjunct to this official site to help unclutter the chat from here.

P.S. Please feel free Kags & Apricot, and anyone else who takes the notion, to apply to join the answerbook...as a moderator of the group I will approve your memberships :>)

Or why not join Answerbok, the original group set up for "Friends of Answerbank"? http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/answerbok/

Thanks to everyone for their responses, I have now joined but wasn't able to use the same user name. Can't believe there are so many users, what's going one?
im confused , so a rival splinter group was set up called the answerbook ,thats a bit cheeky isnt it? what did the answerbok people think of this ?
Sorry MIndbullets It's not as simple as all that I am afraid nor are we rivals at all.....It's a long and convoluted story but the majority of members of the original site were put in a position where they felt they had to leave.....So yes we struck out on our own (with a very heavy heart it must be said) so most of the bok people are actually the book people.....long winded and boring so we try not to concentrate on the future and having fun.
I have been a member of both groups. You can open a pictures folder, upload and download funny videos (or more serious things) , send messages to the group or just chat on Instant Messenger.
