hey legend760
nothin up with the canaries, just fancy a change... but as you say will probably be bak there in december...!
Malta?
Think I meant Madiera - dyslexia strike again - I get muddled up with things that start with the same letter!!
Almeria it's where the Sapnish spend their winter if they can Lots of glorious sunshine a pleasant not too large provincial capital city good beaches and plenty of places to explore if you get fed up with sun worshipping! The Saniards say "the place where the sun spends the winter" and they aren't far wrong
Question Author
gr8 thanx, will look both of these places up and choose one of them
Almeria can get very cold at night, and don't forget it gets dark early and light late in the winter.

Canaries are better for winter sun if you don't want to go too far.
Madeira is definitely worth considering - very laid back and friendly.
Ethel, it depends what you are used to - up here in Scotland, I would get positively excited about reaching the giddy heights of 18 degrees - a balmy summer day around here!
