Internal flight ticket error
I recently booked an internal flight in Vietnam, from the north to the south but have made an error on my ticket, i put my surname in the space where is should have been my first name without realising it, so now my ticket reads
(surname)(middle name)(surname)
I rang up the airline and they said i could not change the ticket i would have to cancel and rebook but they said i could go to the airline once in vietnam and explain to them what has happened and they might print me a new ticket. It is not a change of passenger, it is just an error.
Someone also suggested to me to try and board with this ticket and it is the same middlename, surname, DOB, and passport number as that on my passport so surely they can see that it is me. Does anyone have any experience on this and how strict they are with flying regulations in vietnam. Thanks for any help you can give.

My guess is they won't notice you've adopted Vietnamese word order, though it's a pity you didn't put your first name in there somewhere. If they do, have a few dollars on hand to encourage them (just ask if you can 'pay to have it changed').
