Travel Insurance for Florida

Can anyone recommend a good travel insurance policy?

I am going on a 10-day group tour of Florida starting on 16th September, ending 26th September, flying on Virgin Atlantic from Heathrow to Miami and back.

Each member is tasked with organising their own insurance.

Try Insure and Go - I found them very reasonable and you can buy on line. Just ensure it has plenty of cover for medical treatment as it's very expensive in teh USA.

Talk to your bank also as many will offer you insurance if you have one of the added value accounts, i know i do with mine from lloydstsb

The Post Office do pretty good insurance.

some credit cards give you free travel insurance,check yours out.

make sure you have lots of medical cover; US hospitals are mighty expensive.

try Atlas - I've used them and Insure & Go before (both for USA) - if you intend to go away again within the next year get a quote for an annual policy, it's not that much more expensive........also get quotes from a few insurers and compare the cover offered against each other and weigh up the best deal for you

When going to Florida, we used a company called Arkol Insurance. No-one would insure my wife, or they wanted ridiculous money to cover her, but this company got the best deal we could have hoped for. Give them a try. What have you got to lose?
