I'm due to fly with Virgin next week to Florida - has anyone used their Twilight Check In service? i'm a little nervous as I have a few friends that have had problems with lost baggage lately and I'm worrying that if I check my bags in the evening before I fly there is more chance that they will go missing! I've flown with Virgin before and never had a problem, but I've never used this service before. Experiences/advice appreciated!

We used it at Gatwick about 2 years ago (two couples) and we had no probs at all. There was hardly anyone at the check in desk, it took all of 5 minutes and the next morning we just sailed through passport control, while the check in area was heaving. It was wonderful and we would certainly be happy to use it again. Good luck!
You should be OK with your bags on Virgin.
Its BA who lose bags.

It's normally AIRPORTS who lose bags, not airlines.

In any case I'd say there's less chance they will go missing checked in the night before - there's a lot more time to get them to the plane!
You obviously haven't been reading the papers over the last year about BA's appalling record for baggage at Heathrow. Thousands upon thousands miss flights. BA has to keep sending lorryloads round Britain and even to Europe.
It was official in some recently published statistics - BA do have the worst record.
