My friend often stays at the Cliff House site, at Dunwich. I've visited her on several occasions and can confirm that it's a delightful site, right on the top of the cliffs (with steps down to the beach). They accept both touring caravans and tens.
Cliff House is very close to Minsmere RSPB reservebut, for nature lovers, there's also plenty to see on the neighbouring Dunwich Heath and in the fields opposite the site. (Get up early and you'll see dozens of wild deer grazing):
