I've spent time in Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam and had a great time everywhere! Laos is particularly laid back, with beautiful towns and very friendly people, people travelling there vary greatly from gap yearers to much older people, there's definately something for everyone. There are amazing river trips to do by boat to get to some really remote areas and lots of lazing in hammocks/rubber rings/rafts etc. Southern Laos gets even sleepier but even more remote, very few tourists. There are great fabrics/throw etc to buy. I would recommend a minimum of two weeks in Laos. If you want any more info on these countries - drop me a line at [Email address removed as per site policy. - AB Editor]. Have a great time! I've not met any one who's been to Laos who hasn't.
