Hi, I'm planning to rent a car to drive from Vegas to the Grand Canyon. I'm tryin to plan my route online. Google Earth has been no help surprisingly!
anyone know a good site that could help?
Blonde - if you type in the city and state you are leaving from and the city and state you are going to here - it will give you a map, driving directions, mileage and length of time the trip should take:
Interstate I-93 through Boulder City and over the Hoover Dam to Kingman (90 miles), Interstate I-40 to Williams (110 miles), Route 64 to Grand Canyon (60 miles). Total 260 miles. Easy really.
The first link above (Jno) is to Grand Canyon West on the Hualapai native American Indian land. Not where most people want to go.
We drove to the South Rim where we stayed one night, then drove round to the North Rim (worth considering) where we stayed another night in a log cabin, then drove back to Las Vegas via St George.
