hotels near st james park

hi,does anyone know if theres any hotels nearish to st james park and is it near bars etc?ive been into newcastle centre a few times but i dont know how far the ground is away.thinking of going to a game,few beers and staying over.any advice?thanks!

There is a Holiday Inn Express and a Jury's Inn about a couple of minutes walk from the ground. Google the Hotel names for details. St James' Park is one of the most central grounds in the country, so you'll have no problem finding bars etc.
