To everyone who's been on a Nile cruise - did you see any snake charmers when you got off boat etc?

Can't say that I've ever seen a snake charmer, no.

me neither. Only ones I've seen have been in Morocco and India. That's not to say there are none at all but you may have trouble finding them if there are any

Thank you! I've got a completely irrational fear of snakes, and it only occurred to me this morning that there might be some when we go visiting tourist sites, etc.

You don't understand how much you've made me de-stress! Was having visions of them being on every street corner! Was about to go and ask my Doc for script of Valium!

Don't quit stressing just yet. I saw a good few when i was in Luxor in 2000. Most of them were travelling around bars / restaurants though. Still you might get surprised by one in a bar or restaurant!

V pleased to say back safe and sound from my Egypt trip and no snakes in sight! Should have been more worried about mozzies that attacked me despite the copious amounts of repellent I was wearing!
