I am thinking of getting a late availability break in the middle of october, the options available seem to be Minorca or Malta, as I don't want to spen a fortune. I have a 5 year old son and I'm not a beachy person, like to look about and stuff. Of these two has anyone got any experience of either.
Thanks in advance.

My husband and I went to Malta a few years ago. It was somewhere I had always fancied going and we got a good last minute deal. We went late November and the weather was still t-shirt weather. I am not a beach holiday person, there was plenty to see (quite a bit of history over there). Lots of old buildings and some of the scenery is fab. We went out on the bus every day (it's cheap and easy to get around on the buses). They have a lot of old buses (from 50's and 60's UK I think). I would go back there, no hesitation. It was a lovely holiday.
