end of october getaway!
Me and my boyfriend are wanting to go away for a little break at the end of october, but we need it to be cheap and are looking for some ideas! we live in north yorkshire. idea's in the UK would be great, but suggestions regarding places abroad would be welcome! many thanks! x

In the UK, Brighton always has plenty to offer. There's plenty of good entertainment and hundreds of great restaurants and bars. The North Laine area is great for finding some quirky little shops, and the city is a great base for touring the south coast:

As you are only about 1.5 hours drive from Newcastle, why not book a mini break to Amsterdam? If you sail midweek it is cheaper, often from about �45 per person. You can extend your stay by booking a couple of nights in a hotel.
Have a look at the DFDS website (sorry, I'm rubbish at posting links). Mr Overall and I have done this trip a few times. Last time we snaffled 2 extra nights in a good hotel for �40 each and noticed that the hotel price shown in reception was listed at �100 per night. Bargain!
Also, as Xmas won't be too far away, the trip will be ideal for you to stock up on booze/pressies without the luggage restrictions you get on planes.
