Is the blarney stone closed off from public?

i heard many months ago, so many people kissed it for good luck, it has become a health hazzard. is this true?

kissing the stone still features on Blarney Castle's website, so I guess you can still kiss it - although perhaps it's not for anyone with a bad back....

to reach the stone you have to arch back & kiss it with your head upside down.
