Which is cheaper to travel around london-bus? or metro underground?

i know a cab ride can be expensive if there is no alternative-unless you split the fare....

have a read of this leaflet:-

if you buy a "travelcard" for 1 or 3 days it's valid for bus & tube journeys within the zones paid for, also for most national rail & some river journeys (within your zones).

But if you only want bus & tube it may be cheaper to obtain an "oyster" pay as you go card because daily usage has a cost cap. See also http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/faresandtickets/ 1067.aspx
on the whole though bus is much cheaper, if u have an oyster card each journey costs 80p, im sure u can just buy a bus pass though...more scenic too
