Indian Visa
5 Answers
Since 1992 we have obtained our visa to Goa through the Indian high commission in London, but a recent article in the Sun newspaper states you now have to go through an agent. I have tried for two days to contact the Indian HC in London with no luck, please can you tell me if I can still obtain my visa by post from London.

Yes, amazingly, they have got their facts right on this occasion. Confirmation can be found the High Commission's website. (Click the link to find out which travel agents you can apply through):

Dont ever trust your Indian visa by post, friends of mine did and a third visa came back with theirs belonging to a poor guy in the Midlands somewhere, luckily they traced him through the emergency numbers in the back of his passport and the guy drove down and collected it from their Suffolk address.
If they had not returned to him, I dread to think what could have happened. The Embassy adopts a "couldnt care less" attitude.
