Hi,going to new york tomorrow for a week with my girlfriend.
I have been before but she hasnt! any tips or recommendations apart from the obvious?

This deli has been featured in a number of films and the sandwiches really are as thick as the picture of the waitress at the bottom of the page.

One tip.

Buy a guide book at the airport and read it on the plane.

They usually tell you about all the interesting out of the way places that nobody else knows about.

Go and take a shooting lesson from the special forces instructors at the NY Rifle & Pistol club at 20 W 20, the only range in NYC. (As featured in the film 'Taxi Driver'). While the missus goes shopping, you go put a couple of hundred rounds through a police .38 rifle or what ever (circa $80 for the intro)
