New York in August

Seven of us are going to NYC between 5th - 10th of August. Can anyone tell me if there are any Street basket ball tournaments around this time?

Not sure about basketball but if you're interested in baseball check out the baseball fields in Central Park, quickest way to them is through the entrance on the south west corner of the park, stick to the west side and walk north. There are matches at all times of the day and a lot of theatres and film companies have teams which play so you may spot a celeb or two if you're lucky! Have a great time!
