The catch is likely to be a very limited choice of dates/airports you can use - possibly only at short notice, plus a very hard and persuasive sell whilst you are there to shell out several �K for 'membership' which if you analyse it probably actually has a negative value.

Having now looked at their website and google results, I think you should obtain a very long bargepole.

Don't touch it - you'll end up losing your money. We were conned by this company, originally being told we could fly from our local airport (Bournemouth). We chose three dates when we would like to holiday and waited and waited and waited. Eventually we booked a holiday independantly of Sugar Reef and informed them that those dates would no longer be possible - and guess what. Our "free" holiday for which we had paid �49.99 each (admin fee) not only came through for the dates we were away, but it was flying from Manchester Airport (hardly local) at 5.30 am. Obviously we could not take this holiday, so as we declined it we lost our money.
My brother had a similar experience with another company, but as he lived in Crawley at the time he was able to fly from Gatwick and actually got his "free" holiday, but only after he had signed up to a timeshare package (about �7,000.00). During this "free" holiday and on every holiday he has taken with the timeshare company since he has to attend a timeshare presentation which lasts several hours. He now bitterly regrets having anything to do with it.
I don't believe there is any such thing as a free holiday - DON'T DO IT!!!

yes i have traveled with the sugar reef travel club on a few ocasions, the world wide option was great had a brilliant time my kids loved it the only catch was the presentation but i knew of this b4 i traveled and the terms and conditions are quite strict but other than that it was a great holiday.I was then offered a weeks accomadation in europe,i had to sort out my own flights and pay a booking fee but the resort was beutiful i even bought a timeshare their as i liked it so much.So all in all it was a great experience

This Company has some very devious methods of trading and should be stopped. I to entered a compitition, won the supposedly free holiday. Paid £10 in telephone call, (1st part of con) Sent 2 1st class stamps, (2nd Con), For the third part of Con they now want 4 1st class stamps and £75 each said to be refundable for a week end in London. I think The office of Fair Trading and the Tax Office should look at their methods and accounts

I just got one of these vouchers for Malta £29 pp + taxes. So glad I read all reports on this site, as it is clear it is dishonest and a bit of a scam! So I won't be taking their cheap holiday as I realise the holiday will probably cost a lot more than it would through the normal 'package' method.

we had a Sugar reef Holiday although as we didn~t take the european or long-haul abroad we dealt with a subsidary run by Diamond Resorts. We took a 4 day break in The Lake District. Apart from the seminar (our rep realised we were'nt interested in joining the club shortly after sitting down, and we spent an interesting 1 1/2 chatting about how he came to be doing the job, where he had to travel from & holidays we'd taken in the past. By the time we'd finished our coffee we felt like old friends. No hardsell, all very relaxed and friendly. The chalet was comfortable & had everything we could possibly want including fluffy towels and a slim-line t.v with free-view & a dvd player. The only thing l didn;t like was the extra charge of £50 (in-case we didn't arrive) we were told it was refundable but 2 months later and a letter & e-mail, still no sign. Still, 4 days in the Lakes for £150 can't be sniffed at. JackieW Stourbridge
