I would highly recommend the Black Forest.
Must see definitely is Europa Park which is in Rust north of Freiburg (the main city). It's the best theme park I have been to -had a McDonalds which served big pots of chinese food -its themed by countries.Amazing !!! Freiburg was utterly amazing, beautiful and of course you have to go to Lake Tittinsee (sp?) -what a lovely town and the Lake was ace with little boats you could take out.The weather was fab but the gateau was minging but when in Rome..........(nothing like Icelands lol)

You are in for a treat! We went there in July 2004 and had a ball.
Do not miss Fussen under any circumstance - Ludwig II's famous castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau are only a couple of miles away. Walt Disney based his Sleeping Beauty castle on Neuschwanstein. Do a Google image search and you'll know what I mean.
We also really enjoyed Baden Baden where we used the spas, and Meersburg on Lake Constance where there's a good castle.
Bavaria and the Black Forest are a beautiful part of the world.
If you have any queries I'll try and answer them for you.
