I wanted to ask if it was possible to get a US visa from UK if I am from Nigeria

Do you mean, "Get a Visa issued from the UK while you are resident in Nigeria" or "Get a Visa issued from the UK to you, who are resident in the UK but Nigerian by descent" ?

Yes. "Get a Visa issued from the UK to you, who are resident in the UK but Nigerian by descent"(Nigerian National i.e. Nigeran citizen) but studying a Research course in UK.
