I have one of those new passports with the chip in the back. Anyway they tell you not to put it near computers, mobile phones etc incase it damages the chip but I've had it in my bag for a while with my mobile.

I'm worried incase it's damaged because I'm going to need it soon and you wouldn't know whether it was ok or not till you got to the airport, by which time you couldn't do anything about it!!

Would they let you travel anyway? Are they really that easily damaged?
