i am visiting turkey for a 1 week on aug 16/08/04 my passport expires in feb 05 would it be valid

You need to more specific. It appears that your passport must have 6 months to run from date of entry. So if your pasport expires before 16 Feb then you will not be allowed in. Turkey is not in the EU yet.
