Can anyone reccomend Travel Insurance for a 68 year old for two weeks in Egypt - rest of family group are covered by their bank. Previously used Egg which was cheap but only for European destinations. I do know that some companies will include Egypt in their European cover but rang AXA who cover Egg and they said definitely world-wide needed.

Have a look at this link - I put in some dates, your age & Egypt and it brought up this comparison page

Esure or Ensure (can't remember) but they are excellent, espcially for single items i.e. video cameras, as they cover for eg 500 where other companies have a limit on single items of 150.00. Otherwise, SAGA and the Post Office.
Check out Age Concern's travel insurance:

Or try Intune Insurance (which is wholly owned by Help The Aged):

Some people find Saga surprisingly expensive for insurance but, since they've just insured my car for a third less than anyone else could offer, I've got to include them in my list of possibilities for travel insurance:

Many thanks for your help, I had forgotten about Post Office - will try them. Did use them before being seduced away by Egg who offered Annual Euro Cover for only 20 - till I got to 65 of course!
