dubai can i go?

my husband is going to work in dubai and i know i don't need a visa as i am a uk citizen however i do have a criminal record will i still be able to go or will i be turned away when i get there? the intention is to be there for a few years

UK citizens can enter the United Arab Emirates without a visa only if they're travelling as a tourist, or on business, for an initial period of up to 30 days (which can be extended to a maximum of 90 days on application). Otherwise, you do need a visa.

However, the visa application form does not ask about criminal convictions:
