Good value hotel in west end

Has anyone got any recommedations? Would prefer covent garden area if poss. Paid �125 per person for 1 night in twin room last summer, inc theatre ticket. Is this about average price or can I get a better deal?

The Strand Palace Hotel has received personal recommendations from several AB contributors. A twin room costs from �129 per night (based on my search for a midweek date in May). That's equivalent to �64.50 per person:

Funnily enough, my friend and I had dinner at The Strand Palace's restaurant when we went last year. First impressions were good so it's great you should mention it again.

I've used the Strand palace many a time (always a shared bath) Then I discovered the Edward Lear Hotel at Marble Arch. An oasis of peace and calm very friendly and reasonable too. Sorry dont know how to do a link but just google it. Well worth checking out.

We stayed at the Strand Palace a couple of years ago, we had a private bathroom, maybe you just need to ask.

why not use lastminute.com for one of their 'secret' hotel deals - it is usually pretty simple to guess which one it is [take the hotel desc and google it and you often find it matches the hotel desc on the hotel website]. you get some great deals this way
