Technically, you get only 1 liter duty-free, but the wording of the forms is very ambiguous as to whether this rule takes precedence or whether the $400 limit for total value of goods purchased overseas takes precedence. In either case, the limit is rarely (I would almost say never) enforced, and even if it were, the duty is nominal - something like 35 cents per bottle, regardless of its value.
Best bet is to carry it through, take care to declare it (and better still, have the receipts handy in the very unlikely chance that you run into an overly zealous inspector), and expect to be waved through without fees or red tape."
