Seville to Florence

I will be studying in Seville until the end of December and I am trying to meet up with some friends in Florence around thanksgiving time. What is the cheapest way to get there with limited travel time?

Expedia.com are currently offering round trip flights Seville/Pisa (about an hour by train or coach from Florence) for $286 inc taxes. This is probably less than the rail fare, and will take a fraction of the time; and is not much dearer than the �242 coach fare from Malaga (there's no service from Seville), which would take a couple of days.
